About Milad Karamooz
Milad Karamooz, an artist and photographer hailing from Iran, was born in 1982. His journey into photography was self-guided, specializing in conceptual staged photography and landscapes. His upbringing as a minority within a traditional and religious society has deeply influenced his art, which serves as a response to societal norms and a navigation of the complexities of traditions and patriarchy. Milad's work carries a commitment to sparking conversations, challenging conventions, and fostering reflection. His artworks have been showcased in global exhibitions and garnered multiple awards, showcasing his unique perspective. His involvement in the NFT realm showcases his exploration of new creative horizons. In 2023, he embarked on a new phase of his journey in the United States. Beyond his artistic endeavors, Milad also excels in commercial and memorial photography, as well as graphic design. As the head of the A.BAY photo festival, he shares his expertise with the artistic community, reflecting his passion for knowledge-sharing.
